In the book Extremely Loud and Incredibly close it is unusual novel of coming of age. Although the main character Oskar has a disease that makes him say things uncontrobally, so not all of us have this disease so it may be hard to relate to that factor. But it told or taught me how hard life can be for anyone and everybody, everyone one has problems. Oskar lost his father in 911. I am sure lots of people can relate. I on the other hand not really me I mean it's terrible all those people died but I was lucky enough to not have anyone I know die in 911, so I can't relate first hand. So this book more zooms in on the loss and how that feels. So I can't relate as well.
The disadvantages of working in my group was this was a hard novel to understand and everyone in my group thought that too so sometimes it was hard to put ideas together because we don't know what was going on. An advantage of working with the people I did is they were very smart and could draw conclusions or have a hypothesis about what was going on so adventually we would figure out what was going on and share ideas.

reflection
The book Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Foer is certainly a different novel. But I think it captures some aspects of growing up, but only in unique and special situations, but not always. Like he is still very young so I can't relate entirely I mean he's eight. I mean I can relate I was eight once I said things I didn't mean I said them uncontroblly sometimes, but I didn't have the disease
Dramatic Scene
At school people don't like me very much.In fact in general it seems people don't like me. I have a disease. I can't control it. So I try to write things, but sometimes I write things and it dosen't make sense. I was walking down the street with my mother one day after the accident at the World Trade Center, and she started to sob. She just stood there in the side walk and sobbed. I tried everything in my power to comfort her, I tried rubbing her back, hugging her, talking to her. But once again I said the wrong thing "I wish everyone but daddy died" Instantly my mom stopped crying she stood up. People were starting at me and my mother. Jaws wide open. Some yelled and said hurtful names. My mother pulled me out of the streets and smacked my arm and said "Don't you dare say that, thats so rude and out of line if I ever hear you say that again I will be very angry even more angry then now." she walked away and I felt tears in my eyes.

Adjacent angles- two angles that are directly next to each other and share a side.
Supplementary angle- two angles whose measures sum to 180 degrees (A half circle, straight angle)
Complementary angle- two angles with a sum of 90 degrees (They form a right angle)
Vertical Angle- (AKA opposite angles) vertical angles are congruent (equal in size to one another)
Parallel lines- lines that if extended indefinilely will never touch
Transversal- a line that cuts across lines
Parallel lines intersected by a transversal- lines that are cut by a transversal to form several pairs
Corrosponding angle- appear at different intersecting point but in the same position. corresponding angles are congruent to one anoother
Alternate Interior angles- angles formed inside parallel lines but on opposite sides of the transversal that are congruent
Alternate exterior angles- angles on the exterior of parallel lines buttom the opposite sides of the transversal that are congruent

Chris Reilly. Fourteen. Young. Bright blue eyes. Dark brown hair.
Oldest of seven. Trusted greatly by Colette and Jim Reilly.
He's like an extra father to the other of his six siblings.
He's kind. He's responsible. He's a good friend and an even better brother.
He'll have your back no matter what. He stands for what he believes in.
He isn't easily swaydded. He will protect his family in any situation.
So there were these two red headed twins
they were the neighborhood bullies
real annoying you know?
always picking on my family
and other kids
So one day we were walking from school
they started to follow us
my six siblings and I
pushing us
calling us names
taking our stuff
so we finally make it up to the hill to the playground
so I
snapped
I jumped on one of them
the other one was in such a state of shock he just stood there
so I pinn the kid and I don't let him up
and I spat on him
that was pretty humiliating in those days
one of thee worst things you could have done
it showed you lost and he did
things changed they never bothered us.
Ever again in fact
they never bothered anyone again.

Thought it was having brothes and sisters because there was always somebody to play with, It was simplier time, less technogolical.
Follow up question: what was the best part of growing up in such a big family?
"Many friends, someone else to play with, lots of cake for birthdays."
Q2: When you were younger what did you wannna be when you grew up?
A2: Fireman

"The truck"
Q3: Proudest moment
A3: Beating up bully twins who lived in my neighborhood

"After that they backed off, things changed, I did somthing that alot of people wnated to do to them but never did, I had the courage to do that."
As the oldest of your family did you feel that it was your responsibility to beat them up?
Yes, they treated me and my family badly and other kids badly, so one day I snapped I couldn't take it I was defending my family and my neighborhood.
Q4: How was your relationship with your parents?
A4: "Good, being the oldest I got alot more privilages, I got more responsibilities too. I felt loved by them, they trusted me to help out our family, they made some mistakes of course everyone does being the first born they were new parents they had to make some mistakes to improve."
Q5: Can you compare children and teens from when you were growing up to children and teens now? How are they different how are they alike?
A5: Teens today have it alot harder , bulling, I mean there's always been bullies but now cyber bullying, which can make it even worse. Many status symbols. You have too be yourself. Even though it matters what you wear now and what phone you had. When I was growing up everyone had converse. Everyone wore the same things. Parents today seem to baby there kids or except too much. I don't envy kids I am glad I grew up when did. They haven't changed too much they still want the same basic things.
